The grandest temple complex in Egypt, the Temples of Karnak, impress the visitor even today with their sheer size and the vivid colors which can still be found on some columns.  This complex of temples took centuries to complete, and was enlarged by many Pharaohs.  Karnak Temple complex was dedicated mainly to the god of Luxor, and the gods of the Theban Triad: Amoun, Mut and Khonsu.

Standing under the colossal statues of Ramses II at the entrance of the Temple of Luxor, you will gain some impression of the size and grandeur of this once magnificent temple.  In the beautiful Nile valley sunset, watch as the colors of this sandstone -built temple turn from gold to deepest orange.
