The Nubian Island of SeheilAswan Half DayReached after a relaxing 3-4 hour saling in a motorboat ride, the island of Seheil is home to a notable collection of over 250 rock inscriptions, placed there by officials retuning from expeditions to Nubia, more than three and a half thousand years ago. The island is home to one of the few remaining original Nubian villages, as most were re-positioned due to the construction of the High Dam.
