Fayoum Oasis lies in the Western desert, South of Cairo.It is gifted by beautiful nature and moderate climate throughout the year and represents a valley, a delta, and a lake.Fayoum is one of the most important tourist attraction sites, because it combines natural, rural, coastal and desert environment and hosts monuments of several civilizations like the Pharaonic, the Greek, the Romans, the Coptic, and the Islamic. Among main tourist sites are Qaroun lake, Rayan Valley Falls, and El Haddeer Water Wheels. It is a perfect place to watch migrating and local birds.The Valley of the Whales is supported by the World Conservation Union (IUCN), the Italian Cooperation and Gran Sasso National Park of Italy. The fossil skeletons are seen in the open air museum.
